Chicken with Pepper and Chilli

  Ingredients   Method

500 gm.(1 lb)chicken fillets
1 clove garlic
2 tbsp. oil
2 green peppers
1 fresh red chilli
2 onions
1 tbsp. oyster sauce
1 tsp. light soy sauce
1 tsp. fish sauce or salt to taste
1 tbsp. soy sauce


  1. Slice chicken, chop garlic.
  2. Slice pepper, chilli and onions

  3. Heat oil in a wok or a pan, add garlic and chicken and stir-fry  for one minute.

  4. Add onions, pepper and chilli and stir-fry until chicken is done.

  5. Stir in oyster sauce, light soy sauce, fish sauce or salt, and soy sauce.

 


Thai dishes normally have a peculiar balance of the hot, sour, sweet and at times bitter, too. But the end products are so tongue tickling and tasty, one can hardly put them aside. Thai food, unlike chinese dishes which are flavoured with sauces of various kinds, are flavoured by a variety of curry pastes, prepared and stored in bulk, like the green curry paste or red curry paste for example.
